[ Chris laughs as Loki slips out of his arms and minces off towards the kitchen, his sparkling green magic dressing him unfairly quickly. ]

[ Shaking his head, he takes himself off towards the bathroom, figuring he might as well get this over and done with as quickly as possible.
The sonic refresher can be quick, just a minute or so of standing in the cubicle while the waves sluice off whatever grime has accumulated on his skin, but it always feels weird, leaving him with his skin tingling strangely as he steps out and allows himself to indulge in a full-body shiver to try and buck off the weird crawling feeling that lingers. It's hard to beat the efficiency of it, though, which is one of the main reasons he continues to use it daily instead of the more luxurious water shower.
Dressing in his uniform pants and black undershirt but not bothering with the gold tunic just yet, he quickly runs a comb through his hair before deciding that's good enough, and chances are Loki will want to mess up whatever he tries to do to it before his shift starts anyway, so there's no point in getting too attached to one style.
Wearing socks but no shoes, he steps back out into the main living area and heads towards the kitchen, spreading his hands. ]
[ Had Chris owned a water shower system Loki would have vanished for half an hour, fifteen minutes was purely because of his dislike of the sonics. He assumes Chris will take longer since this is his home and helps himself to the replicator once he deems the ingredients in the cupboards lacking.
Five minutes later his sleeves and the front of his shirt are white with flour as he mixes the wet ingredients in with the dry, the scent of vanilla in the air. He adjusts the heat on the stove and starts spooning in his first pancake. ]

[ He pushes off from the counter to meander through his kitchen, pulling down plates from a cupboard, including one to set beside the stove for the finished pancakes, and hunts down the small bottle of real Vermont maple syrup he'd been hiding in the back of his pantry.
Then, remembering Loki's comment about breakfast meats from the night before, he turns back to the fridge and digs out the rest of the bacon he'd started in on last night before stepping up to the stove to take the other burner over so they can have more than just carbohydrates for breakfast. ]
[ He glances over at the crinkling sound and double-takes Chris making bacon. Something warm starts to unravel in his chest at the sight of that, knowing he remembered Loki's favourite food for breakfast.
