Billy, one last thing... Try and keep him from making up his mind too fast. I'm talking to Tim, and while I can't say that things will go one way or the other, I wasn't wrong in saying he's a bit like me in that he thinks a LOT. Which means who knows what the final verdict will be.

Hopefully you can exert some measure of patience upon him, though I know it's not a simple task.

He feels things all at once, the rejection, the pain, it isn't in small doses. Like he needs to get it all out of his system to be able to move on.
