[ Loki could be purring if he had the animal parts for it, instead hitching his knee higher around a hip as he leans in against the large hand travelling up his side. So nice, spending time together like this, lazy touches and endlessly fond kisses. He's being spoiled and knows it. ]

[ Laughing, Chris doesn't refute that accusation because it's absolutely, one hundred percent correct.

Twisting his wrist, he cups Loki's ass comfortably with the rest of his hand, keeping one finger tucked up inside him like this is a casual way to snuggle, like it's perfectly chaste and normal and not at all worth making note of. ]

I do like it. [ He presses a smirking kiss to the part in Loki's hair, feeling very pleased with himself. ] And you like it too, sweet thing.

[ Half-hard but in no rush to hurry that or get off, Loki mouths at the lovebite he already made on Chris's neck and hums in satisfaction as he arches his back. He's as pliant as he ever is, more lucid without the rush of needing to orgasm and utterly relaxed in Chris's hold. ]

[ Slowly, like an afterthought, he presses his finger deeper and then lets it withdraw, a languid and unhurried fucking that's more about the desire to touch than any need to rush to any end goal. He's unlikely to get hard again for a good long while, so this is all for Loki's benefit, and if he seems happy to arch up into Chris's touch like a happy little cat, then Chris is perfectly happy to keep petting him good and slow. ]

Nobody touches you like I do, do they? [ That's fairly obvious by the way Loki reacts to those touches, but he wouldn't mind the confirmation anyway. ]

[ An eye cracks open before closing again and he makes a noise in the back of his throat as confirmation, although that could be mistaken for a moan as his tightens up with a shiver before relaxing again as Chris fucks him to a slowburn rhythm. ]

[ Loki's little noise pressed into Chris's throat has him making an answering noise of his own, a low rumble that's barely any sound at all, hummed into Loki's hair as he spreads his fingers wide against the span of his back to hold him tight up against Chris's body. ]

Gotta look after my pretty baby. Give you what you need.

[ Loki could fall asleep like this, one more reason for him to encourage Chris to wake him up this way too. After basking in the sweetness of his lover's selflessness long enough to gain a pleasant ache in his lower half, minutes more but they last a lifetime in his heart, he pats the wrist of Chris's busier hand and kisses his cheek. ]

Better s-stop or I'll lose all feeling down there.

[ Chris has never been one for meditation, and this certainly wouldn't qualify, but what he is good at is going into power-saver mode, half-closing his eyes and letting himself drift mentally to eat up time that he doesn't have to be fully present for so that he can instead save his energy for other, more pressing moments.

Loki shifting to kiss his cheek has him blinking down at him, his eyebrows lifting. ]

Well, we can't have that. Do you actually want me to stop, or do you want me to get to the point?

I don't want to miss anything, [ because he would zonk out again if he came, ] can we just lie here together awhile?

[ He wouldn't usually even ask for fear of ridicule but this is Chris. ]

[ Carefully, he stops the gentle rocking of his hand down the back of Loki's leggings, winding up with his hand just cupping one cheek comfortably, his other hand reaching out to smooth down the back of his shirt as if straightening his appearance. ]

You think your son is going to behave himself down in the paddock for a few more hours?

[ A wave of his hand and Chris' are clean with a tingle, fresh and ozone-y. Loki curls up with him, brushing his fingers up the nape of a neck and into soft, short hairs. ]

He'll make friends and let himself out when he wants. Don't worry if he has company, he's a good boy.

[ Loki would say the same of himself, of course. ]

[ Having grown very comfortable with Loki's habit of washing them clean with his magic, the tingly feel and sharp smell of his hand getting refreshed is met with barely a blink. He does squeeze Loki's ass cheek before withdrawing his hand from under his leggings so he can use both arms to hug Loki close to his chest and let him cuddle up.

Chuckling, he presses a kiss to Loki's temple. ]

Takes after his mother that way, I see.

I can be a bad boy, [ grinning, he tips his head up to give him a wink, ] if you prefer sometime.

[ Chris lifts a hand off Loki's back to curl a lock of his hair around his finger and tug lightly in playful reproach. ] Oh, I know. You can be terribly wicked when you put your mind to it.

Bad enough to keep a man off a horse long enough to get in some extra attention? Sure sounds like me.

[ Speaking of kisses, he shuffles up enough to thread his fingers through Chris's hair and kiss him slowly, savouring the taste and heat of him. ]

Whatever am I going to do with such a naughty boy?

[ Let him drape himself all over Chris's chest so they can make out slowly, apparently. Shifting the way he's lounging on the sofa to make it easier for Loki to avoid needing to crane his neck too much, Chris resigns himself to being kissed, happily deciding to put the horses out of his mind. They'll be fine. He has other things to focus on right now. ]

[ He forgets about all the things he wants, the annoyance of not having their relationship recognised in that chair and all the jokes surrounding it; they melt away. Loki doesn't need that. He wants Chris, here in this house away from everyone, with his crowfeet eyes when he smiles and soft as Hel hair, his large hands and hot, always obliging mouth ... and he thinks Chris wants him too, teasing and tricks aside, which is rare.

Once he starts smiling he can't stop, even though it interrupts some dedicated making-out. ]

[ It's hard to mind if things get a little messy or uncoordinated when Loki's smiling like that, his body warm and pliant in Chris's arms. Chris is lucky to be surrounded by people he likes and who like him, who he trusts and who trust him, but there's always that separation of professionalism and duty between him and everyone else on the Enterprise. So rarely does he get to indulge in his desire for casual touch, for the kind of soft affection that comes from having someone lie in your arms and trade clumsy kisses. ]

I really am glad to see you, [ he murmurs in a bit of a lull, squeezing Loki's hips in his hands. ]

[ Laughing softly, he nods and savours the feeling of being not only known and seen, but wanted. ]

I'll come visit on your fancy ship again next time, but this is nice too. Having you all to myself ... I can't complain.

[ Wiggling his hips a little just to feel Chris holding on. ]

I'd like that. It feels awfully empty without you.

[ Five hundred or so souls on that ship and still it feels echoingly empty at times. Usually when it's late and he can't sleep, his inevitable future playing out behind his eyelids every time he closes his eyes, wishing desperately for someone or something to come distract him from his fate. ]

No more bears this time, though.

[ There's that strange melancholy to Chris again, the deep rivulet of it that runs unnoticed so often and rarely surfaces. While Loki adores being adored, he finds it odd Chris's other family isn't enough to be a worthy distraction.

Playing with Chris's hair, he leans up to kiss him chastely, soft and sweet. ]

You can pray to me and I'll hear it, you know. Anytime.

[primedirectives]

[ He can't burden his crew with the knowledge he bears, it just wouldn't be fair to them. Even Spock, who knows more about the details than anyone else, doesn't know the full story, and Chris isn't going to explain it to him. He doesn't want to alter the course of history, not now that he's discovered just how badly that will go if he tries.

This is Chris's cross to bear, and he'll shoulder it in stoic silence.

He blinks away the shadows that were creeping into his eyes, refocusing back on Loki's darling face, a smile curling his lips in the wake of that sweet kiss. ]

Really? How do I do that?

[ Yes, go away shadows! Loki will get you otherwise. ]

You believe in me, don't you? Just pray. It's like a communicator in my head goes off, I can respond or not.

Just like that?

[ His smile widens, one hand lifting to brush some of Loki's hair aside, tracing the shell of his ear with doting fingertips. ]

I don't need an altar? Some sort of ritual sacrifice? A little fox sculpture, perhaps?

[ Chris grew up studying dozens of Earth's religions because of his father. There's very little in the way of religious rituals that will surprise him. ]

[ Wrinkling his nose, Loki laughs. ]
